Normally I do not post over the weekends but I wanted to share this photo with you. James Morris sent me this photo. As you can see they gave the picture the name the "Hand of God". As soon as I saw this photo a rush went through me pointing me to the words of Jesus Christ in Revelation 8:8 which states the following: And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;". In line with what Jesus as shown us for the future I think a better name for this photo would be: "A Warning From God of Things to Come".Can you image during the tribulation seeing a huge mountain falling towards Earth. It would look very much like this picture. If you are not saved yet you should read the book of Revelation to see what you will have to go through. Keep in mind, most of the population of Planet Earth will not make it through the tribulation. Jesus has given us more than enough warnings concerning these last days. Why? Because He wants you to come to Him for salvation before you find yourself in the midst of this tribulation. Any comments?

Headline:IDF preparing for possible war on northern, Gaza borders
According to IDF estimations, the likelihood of Israel initiating a war in the next year remains low, both due to the turmoil in the Middle East which is keeping many of Israel’s enemies busy, and because of Israel’s current deterrence abilities. Even so, the likelihood of a severe incident leading to an escalation and even a war has increased, and is being described by the IDF as “moderate.” This is due to the tension along Israel’s borders, especially the ones in the north and near the Gaza Strip. Even so, Israel believes that Hezbollah and Hamas, as well as other jihadist organizations near the border – some of whom are as close as several hundred meters away from reaching Israeli school buses in the Golan Heights – are deterred by the IDF, which is considered an “aggressive and unpredictable” player. These estimates are in line with IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot’s comments from last week, marking Hezbollah as the primary threat to Israel. The IDF believes that a war in the north could include, in addition to missile fire, hostage taking by the enemy and damage to naval vessels. “The next war will be different from the wars we’ve seen in the past 20-30 years. The conflict will be very complex,” say IDF officials. “Hezbollah has turned the majority of its Shi’ite villages in southern Lebanon into massive strongholds. They’re investing more in missile accuracy and warhead size, and are working more on underground warfare and bringing the war into our territory. Hezbollah started digging tunnels before Hamas did, and a war tunnel such as the ones dug under a Lebanese village can also be dug in the border area. But we have the knowledge and ability to hurt Hezbollah. These villages would be hit and this will lead to many refugees.” January 26, 2016
Eight Hamas militants were missing after a tunnel collapse in the northern Gaza Strip, Palestinian media reported on Wednesday. The reports, which indicate that the group is working on rehabilitating its array of tunnels reaching into Israeli territory, were confirmed by Hamas’ military wing, which said that it has lost contact with a unit of tunnel fighters after a collapse caused by inclement weather. According to the group, it is still searching for survivors. Earlier this week, a rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip to Israel, exploding in an open area near the border. No damage was caused. Earlier this month five rockets were fired, though only two exploded in Israeli territory, again causing no damage. Israel estimates that Hamas is investing efforts in restoring its military capability by building tunnels leading into Israeli territory and renewing its inventory of rockets, among other things. The IDF believes that there is a probability of a conflict in the Gaza Strip, but says that such an escalation could come either from a miscalculation of Israeli steps or reactions, or as a “no-choice” move on the part of Hamas, which will try to bring about a drastic change the situation prevailing in Gaza. Headline: Furious Netanyahu slams Ban Ki-moon for ‘stoking’ Palestinian terrorism
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday accused the United Nations chief of “stoking terror” after Ban Ki-moon said, in connection with the wave of Palestinian deadly terror attacks, that it was “human nature to react to occupation.” “There is no justification for terrorism,” Netanyahu said. “The Palestinian terrorists don’t want to build a state; they want to destroy a state, and they say that proudly. They want to murder Jews everywhere and they state that proudly. They don’t murder for peace and they don’t murder for human rights.” The UN has “lost its neutrality and its moral force, and these statements by the Secretary-General do nothing to improve its situation,” Netanyahu said in a furious video statement. Ban’s remarks, said Netanyahu, “stoke terror.” Ban had attributed the terror attacks in the past four months, in which over 25 Israelis have been killed, to “Palestinian frustration.” January 27, 2016
“Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still, O God! 2 For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; And those who hate You have lifted up their head. 3 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, And consulted together against Your sheltered ones. 4 They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” (Psalm 83)

Headline: ISIS-Nusra clashes leave at least 13 dead on Lebanon-Syria border
Nusra Front militants launched a surprise attack against rival extremists in ISIS along the Lebanese-Syrian border Wednesday, sparking clashes that have left at least 13 dead, a Lebanese security source said. The source told The Daily Star that Nusra’s initial attack led to the deaths of six ISIS militants and capturing of four in Syria’s rugged Qalamoun mountains, on the eastern outskirts of Lebanon’s northeast border town Arsal. ISIS later launched a counter attack on Nusra, killing seven of their members, the source added. ISIS also captured four positions in the area, including Al-Malahi. The source said clashes were ongoing. The two groups have clashed on multiple occasions in the Qalamoun since their fighters took foothold in the area around two years ago. Fighting between them intensified last year after a Hezbollah-Syrian army offensive sought to root out all extremist militants in the Qalamoun region. January 27, 2016
Headline: Saudi soldier dies in border shelling from Yemen
A Saudi soldier has been killed in shelling from across the border in Yemen, the interior ministry announced on Wednesday. He died on Tuesday in a strike on a border guards’ observation post in the Harth district of Jazan in the kingdom’s south, the ministry said. Around 90 civilians and soldiers have been killed in shelling and skirmishes in Saudi border regions since March when a Saudi-led military coalition began air and ground action in Yemen against Iran-backed militias. Headline: Four Egyptian soldiers killed, 12 injured in Sinai explosion
At least four Egyptian army soldiers were killed and 12 injured in the Sinai Peninsula after an armoured personnel carrier exploded on the outskirts of the city of Arish, security and medical sources said on Wednesday. Unidentified militants planted an improvised explosive device on the road and later remotely detonated it as the vehicle conducted a search operation, the sources said. Egypt’s official military spokesman could not immediately be reached for comment. The most populous Arab country is battling an insurgency that gained pace after its military overthrew President Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt’s oldest Islamist movement, in mid-2013 following mass protests against his rule. The insurgency, mounted by Daesh’s Egyptian branch Sinai Province, has killed hundreds of soldiers and police and started to attack Western targets within the country. January 27, 2016

Syria Headline: Syria regime forces take control of key town near Jordan border
Multiple bombings targeted a government-run security checkpoint in the central Syrian city of Homs on Tuesday, killing at least 20 people, Syria’s state-run news agency reported. The attack, which was claimed by the Daesh terror group, came as government forces retook a strategic town from opposition fighters and militants in the south of the country. Homs Governor Talal Barazi told the SANA news agency that the checkpoint was hit “first by a car bomb, which was then followed by a suicide bombing”. The Daesh terror group claimed responsibility, according to a report by the Aamaq news agency, which is affiliated with the extremist group. Syrian state television broadcast footage of the aftermath of the Homs bombing, showing extensive damage to shops and apartments around the site of the explosion in the Zahra neighbourhood, which is inhabited mostly by members of President Bashar Assad’s Alawite sect, an offshoot of Islam. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an opposition group which relies on a network of informants across Syria for its news, said the death toll had climbed to 25, with 15 of the casualties being security personnel. The observatory said witnesses at the scene said the first bomber attracted a crowd by shouting curses about the Homs governor, then blew his vehicle up.
Meanwhile, in southern Syria, government forces took control of the town of Sheikh Meskin, culminating an offensive that began in late December to retake the town after seizing the Brigade 82 military base, nearby. Sheikh Meskin lies near the highway connecting Damascus and the Jordanian border and connects the Syrian capital to Daraa, a border town held by opposition fighters. Heavy fighting has continued outside the town, between forces loyal to the government and opposition fighters, supported by Al Qaeda’s Syrian affiliate, Al Nusra Front. The observatory reported Russian and Syrian air strikes were supporting the offensive. January 26, 2016
Syria Headline: ISIS holds thousands of civilians hostage in Syria’s Shaddadi
The Islamic State (ISIS) radical group has imposed a siege on the city of Shaddadi in Syria’s northeastern province of Hasakah, in a bid to prevent civilians from leaving the city, local sources reported on Tuesday. Shaddadi is considered the main bastion for ISIS militants in Hasakah province. “Nobody is allowed to leave the city. Anyone who tries to reach Shaddadi’s suburbs is being beaten and arrested by Daesh,” said Hammoud Hussein, a lawyer based in Shaddadi city. “Civilians in Shaddadi are held hostage by Daesh terrorists. People are running out of food and other basic supplies,” Hussein told ARA News, using an Arabic acronym for ISIS. This comes as the western-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) started a battle for Shaddadi, aimed at regaining the city after more than two years of ISIS control over it. “People are afraid of being used by Daesh are human shields against the SDF bombardment and western airstrikes,” Hussein reported. Iraq Headline: ISIS booby-traps the only safe exit in Fallujah
On Wednesday, administration of Fallujah city in Anbar Province called for an “immediate intervention” to retake the city from ISIS and save 5,000 families entrapped inside the city, while also called the international coalition to intensify their air strikes on ISIS. The administration also pointed out that the only safe port that the security forces had opened for the families in the city has been booby-trapped by ISIS. The Mayor of Fallujah Issa Sayer said in a press conference held in the capital Baghdad, “We appeal to the federal government, as well as the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi as the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces to immediately intervene and conduct a military operation to save the city of Fallujah and the innocent detainees by the ISIS.” Sayer added, “The number of families entrapped in Fallujah is about 5,000 families, mostly children and women who live difficult humanitarian situations without food or medicines,” pointing out that, “ISIS arrested hundreds on charges of cooperation with the security forces.” “We call the international coalition to intensify its air strikes on ISIS members in Fallujah,” Sayer continued. Kurdish Headline: Iraq Kurds Agree on Independence Vote, Official Says
Kurdish Headline: Barzani and Kurdish Political Parties Discuss Independence Referendum
Iraqi Kurdish leaders plan to hold a referendum on the region’s independence, an official said on Wednesday, in a move that could lead to the break-up of OPEC’s second-biggest oil producer. Massoud Barzani, president of the semi-autonomous Kurdish Regional Government, and other Kurdish leaders have all agreed to hold the referendum, said Kifah Mahmoud, an adviser at the president’s office. While they all agreed to hold the referendum, the vote “doesn’t mean independence. It is the decision of the people,” Mahmoud said. The Kurds, who historically have resisted control by Arab-dominated governments in Baghdad, are independently developing oil reserves they say may total 45 billion barrels — equivalent to almost a third of the deposits in the rest of Iraq, according to BP Plc data. Saad Al-Hadithi, a spokesman for Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi, said “any unilateral position from any party without coordination or approval will be against the constitution and illegal.” January 27, 2016

Headline: Curfew widened in southeast Turkey, clashes kill 23
Security forces killed 20 Kurdish militants in southeast Turkey while three Turkish soldiers died in a rebel attack, the military said on Wednesday, as authorities widened a curfew in the mainly Kurdish region’s largest city, Diyarbakir. Hundreds of locals, including children and the elderly, fled curfew-bound areas of Diyarbakir’s Sur district as gunfire and blasts resounded and police helicopters flew overhead, a Reuters witness said. Some people cried as they carried away possessions. Southeastern Turkey has endured its worst violence in two decades since a 2-1/2-year-old ceasefire between the state and Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants collapsed in July, reviving a conflict that has killed 40,000 people since 1984. The army said 11 PKK members died in the town of Cizre, near the Syrian border, and nine more in Sur on Tuesday, bringing the militant death toll in the two towns to some 600 since security operations began there last month. It said three soldiers were killed in a militant attack in Sur, where security sources said militants opened fire with rifles and a rocket launcher. The ancient Sur district, enclosed by Roman city walls, has suffered extensive damage in the fighting and much of it has been under a round-the-clock curfew since Dec. 2. The district governor’s office said the curfew was extended to five more districts so security forces could remove explosive devices and barricades and fill in ditches set up by militants. Turkey, the United States and the European Union all classify the PKK as a terrorist organization. The PKK says it is fighting for autonomy for Turkey’s Kurdish minority. January 27, 2016
Headline: Iran says warns U.S. warship to leave waters near Strait of Hormuz
Iran’s navy warned a U.S. warship on Wednesday to leave waters near the Strait of Hormuz where the Iranians were testing submarines, destroyers and missile launchers, news agencies reported. The commander of Iran’s fleet, Rear-Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, told Tasnim news agency the U.S. ship was trying to collect information in the Sea of Oman – an area close to the Strait, a vital oil and gas shipping route – and said it left quickly after the alert. There was no immediate reaction from Washington which this month joined other world powers in lifting sanctions on the Islamic Republic after Iran agreed to curtail its nuclear program. Headline: Kabul Goes Dark After Taliban Attack on Key Power Line in Baghlan Province
Headline: Ten police officers shot dead in restive central Afghanistan
A Taliban attack on a critical power line supplying the Afghan capital has plunged large swathes of Kabul into darkness, government officials told NBC News Wednesday. The blackout appeared the mark the first time the Taliban managed to majorly sabotage Kabul’s main power supply and came after Afghan security forces launched a major offensive against them in Baghlan province. Mahmood Haqmal, spokesman for Baghlan’s provincial governor, told NBC News that the Taliban “blew up several power pylons” after Afghan security forces launched operations to clear the area of insurgents. A Taliban spokesperson denied responsibility for destroying power lines, blaming Afghan government forces. Officials at state-owned utility company Da Afghanistan Breshna Shirkat (DABS) said the attack cut off Kabul’s main source of power, from Uzbekistan. “More than 60% of Kabul’s electricity is imported from Uzbekistan, unfortunately as of last night we have lost that source and now have to rely on domestic power supplies,” said Abdul Ahad, Deputy Director of DABS. Ahad said that the Taliban previously had moved to cut power supplies against smaller cities such as Jalalabad and Kandahar — but never succeeded on such a large scale in Kabul. January 27, 2016
Headline: Nearly 34 000 flee clashes in Sudan’s Darfur
Headline: Sudan opens border with South Sudan for first time since 2011 secession
Some 34 000 people in Sudan’s western Darfur region have fled fierce clashes between government forces and rebels around the mountainous Jebel Marra area, the United Nations said on Wednesday. After several months of relative quiet in the restive region following Khartoum’s announcement of a ceasefire late last year, fresh fighting erupted around Jebel Marra around 10 days ago. Jebel Marra straddles South, Central and North Darfur states and is seen as a stronghold of the rebel Sudan Liberation Army (SLA-AW), which has been battling the government since 2003. “Initial reports indicate that about 19 000 civilians have fled into North Darfur state, and up to 15 000 into Central Darfur state, following fighting in the mountainous Jebel Marra region,” said Marta Ruedas, the UN humanitarian co-ordinator in Sudan. The vast majority of those fleeing the fighting were women and children, she said. January 27, 2016
Headline: US considering fresh military action in Libya over Isis threat
The Pentagon is considering fresh military action in Libya more than four years after conducting an air campaign that helped topple dictator Muammar Gaddafi, a spokesman said on Wednesday. Officials are currently “looking at military options” to stop the Islamic State militant group from gaining ground in another oil-rich Mideast nation, said Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook. At present, US efforts in Libya are focussed on identifying local allies to work with, for what a senior military officer has envisioned as a “decisive” confrontation with Isis. Cook acknowledged that the “metastasis” of Isis beyond its primary base in Iraq and Syria has prompted the Pentagon to revisit the question of a renewed war in Libya. A “small group” of US forces had made contact with Libyan militiamen, “simply to get a sense of who the players are”, Cook said, amid a fractured security landscape with multiple and overlapping combatants. Although the US personnel are likely to be special operations forces, Cook did not specify how many of them had taken part in the mission, nor if they were still operating in Libya. Cook portrayed the contact as closer to a broad assessment mission than the so-called “shaping operations” that precede imminent combat. January 27, 2016
Luke 21:9 and Matthew 24:7 speak of nation against nation and kingdom against kingdom in the end times. Revelation 6:3-4 speaks of the fiery red horse given power to make men slay one another and Revelation 6:8 speaks again of this red horse in conjunction with the pale horse of Death and Hades, as the one that has the power to kill by sword. Luke 21:9: wars & commotions; the Greek word here is Akatastasia, meaning instability, a state of disorder, disturbance, confusion (revolutions) Matthew 24:7: the Greek word for nation is Ethnos & refers to various ethnic groups fighting among themselves, where the next sentence in the verse refers to kingdoms (basileiva) fighting one another (not to be confused with an actual kingdom but rather the right or authority to rule over a kingdom)
Headline: One dead as FBI arrests Oregon occupation leader, four others
One protester was shot dead and eight others were arrested on Tuesday after authorities confronted members of an armed group that has staged a month-long occupation of a federal wildlife reserve in Oregon, activists and officials said. The FBI said gunshots rang out after officers stopped a car carrying protest leader Ammon Bundy and others near the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. Activists said Robert LaVoy Finicum, a rancher who acted as a spokesman for the occupiers, was killed. FBI agents were setting up a perimeter on Tuesday night around the wildlife refuge, where some people were still holding out, continuing their protest against federal control of large tracts of the country, a law enforcement official told Reuters. One of the remaining occupiers, Jason Patrick, told Reuters by phone they would stay until the “redress of grievances”. “I’ve heard ‘peaceful resolution’ for weeks now and now there’s a cowboy who is my friend who is dead – so prepare for the peaceful resolution,” Patrick said. The takeover at Malheur that started Jan. 2 was a flare-up in the so-called Sagebrush Rebellion, a decades-old conflict over the U.S. government’s control of millions of acres of territory in the west. Protesters say they are defending the Constitution. January 27, 2016
Headline: Nigeria suicide blasts ‘kill 13’ in Chibok
At least 13 people were killed on Wednesday when three suicide bombers blew themselves up in the northeast Nigerian town of Chibok, where Boko Haram kidnapped more than 200 schoolgirls. The blasts happened at about midday (1100 GMT) as the remote town in Borno state was packed with traders from surrounding villages for the weekly market, Chibok elder Ayuba Chibok told AFP.”Ten died on the spot and another one died on the way to hospital,” said health worker Dazzban Buba, who volunteered to treat the injured at hospital. “A woman and a child died as they were being admitted (to hospital), so now the death toll stands at 13. Thirty others were injured, 21 critically.” The blasts bore the hallmarks of Boko Haram, which has repeatedly hit “soft” civilian targets such as markets, mosques and bus stations as well as military and civilian vigilante checkpoints. Headline: Bomb attack kills five Kenyan police officers near Somali border
At least five Kenyan police officers were killed Wednesday in a roadside bomb blast in the town of Lamu near the border with Somalia. The truck transporting officers “had about 10 administration police officers and the explosive that blew it up seemed to have been planted on the road they were using,” a senior regional official, who asked not to be named, said after the incident. The militant group al-Shabab, which is based in Somalia, claimed responsibility for the attack. “We killed eight Kenyan soldiers after we burnt their car with a roadside bomb near Lamu area,” said Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab, al-Shabab’s military operation spokesman, rejecting Kenya’s official account that those dead were police officers. Headline: Report of record oil output from Iraq throws global markets in turmoil
Headline: U.S. Stocks Fall, Dollar Mixed as Fed Holds Course
We have become accustomed to constantly setting new records for U.S. net worth every quarter. Even with slow economic growth, the U.S. has experienced a record-breaking total net worth every quarter since 2012. That string was broken in the third quarter of 2015, according to the recent Flow of Funds section from the Financial Accounts of the United States report by the Federal Reserve. Our collective net worth fell in the third quarter by $1.2 trillion to a total of $85.2 trillion. The drop was attributed to the difficult quarter in the stock market. More than $2.3 trillion in corporate stock value was wiped out during the August market correction, and that loss could not be overcome by increases in other sectors such as the $482 billion in real estate gains. Equities remained relatively flat through the end of the third quarter and began to rise at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Barring an end-of year collapse, this quarterly drop in net worth should be an aberration. As of this writing, the market had experienced a sharp two-day drop, so a fourth-quarter net asset gain is not a given — but it is highly likely. For 2015, the U.S. averaged a net worth of $85.8 trillion, well above the $84.1 trillion registered at the end of the 2014. Barring an economic collapse, we should stay well above that mark. Headline: Swine flu OUTBREAK: 72 more deaths as killer disease continues its spread across Europe
Up to 40,000 people are expected to contract the disease in the Ukaine capital Kiev, where residents are covering their faces with masks or scarves. Schools have been closed for more than a week and some public gatherings have been banned as authorities struggle to head off the outbreak. The Ukrainian health ministry has confirmed 72 swine flu deaths, of which 47 were in the past week. The number of fatalities in areas of the Donetsk region held by pro-Russian rebels could be as high as 300, according to the intelligence service. The nasty virus has spread to many former Soviet countries, reaching epidemic levels in St Petersburg, Russia, where at least 30 people have died. At least 18 people have also died in Armenia. The respiratory disease, caused by a strain of the influenza type A virus known as H1N1, can be spread from person to person through coughing and sneezing. Health authorities have insisted there is no need for panic, despite the virus reaching epidemic levels in parts of Ukraine and Russia, including the eastern Donetsk region, where fighting continues against Russian-backed insurgents. New Lucifer Show starts tonight on FOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Fox network wants you to think of them as the "family channel", and they don't want you to dwell on the fact that they spend millions producing books, television and movies that glorify the Devil, promote the homosexual lifestyle, and trash biblical Christianity. That makes them by definition both anti-family and anti-Christian.
FOX NETWORK OFFERING UP A VARIETY OF PRO-SATANIC AND LGBT-FRIENDLY PUBLISHING AND PROGRAMMING
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”James 4:7 (KJV)
Since it’s inception, the Fox network has portrayed itself as the home of conservatism and family values. But a closer look shows a completely different picture. In fact, they are doubling down on pro-Satanic and horror programming.
Last week, we told you about the Fox network’s new marquee show called “Lucifer“, a show about a cool, “hot looking” Devil who drives a Corvette and owns a nightclub. Today we find out that they are also prepping a new series based on the Exorcist. The drama is a modern reinvention of William Peter Blatty’s bestselling 1971 book, The Exorcist. The project is described as “a propulsive, serialized psychological thriller following two very different men tackling one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession, and confronting the face of true evil.”
IF THIS WASN’T BAD ENOUGH, THE RABBIT HOLE GOES DEEPER. A LOT DEEPER.
Rupert Murdoch’s media conglomerate News Corp. owns the publisher HarperCollins. HarperCollins bought Christian publisher Zondervan. Zondervan says that they are the largest publisher of Bibles in the world, including the Laodicean fanboy favorite the NIV “bible”.
HarperCollins then bought Thomas Nelson Publishing, the largest general publisher of Christian material in the world. Combined they represent nearly half of all Christian reading material on the face of the earth. Let that thought sink in.
Rupert Murdoch with the Fox Network owns and controls half of all the world’s Christian publishing.
Now for the other shoe.
Rupert Murdoch’s empire also owns a company called Avon that publishes and promotes Anton Lavey’s book The Satanic Bible. Now do you see why they are pushing all this Satanic programming on their television network? It’s a full court press to make you comfortable with the Devil. They want you to think that the Devil is a joke and that Hell is not a real place. But it is.
When viewed in total, you can clearly see an organized effort by Rupert Murdoch to to use his wealth, influence and power to constantly push a pro-Satanic and pro-LGBT agenda. Rupert Murdoch’s HarperCollins is also the publisher of ‘The Joy of Gay Sex’ and titles by anti-Christian author Richard Dawkins.
“And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the thirdday I shall be perfected.”Luke13:32(KJV)
The Fox network wants you to think of them as the “family channel”, and they don’t want you to dwell on the fact that they spend millions producing books, television and movies that glorify the Devil, promote the homosexual lifestyle, and trash biblical Christianity. That makes them by definition both anti-family and anti-Christian.

Headline: Israel targets Palestinian militants in rare Gaza airstrike
Headline:Hamas threatens Israel following airstrike
The Israeli military carried out a rare airstrike in Gaza on Wednesday, targeting a group of Palestinian militants placing explosives along the border and killing one of them, Israeli and Palestinian officials said. The Israeli military said its aircraft located the group along Gaza’s northern border with Israel as they were planning to detonate an explosive device against Israeli troops on the other side. “Forces guarding the border with Gaza face a growing threat from hostile terror groups attempting to destabilize the situation on the ground,” said Lt. Col. Peter Lerner, a military spokesman. The Palestinian Health Ministry said a 31-year-old man was killed in the strike and three others were wounded. The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, a militant group affiliated with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah group, later identified the deceased as a member, saying he was targeted while planting explosives. In a separate statement, Salah Bardawil, an official from Gaza’s ruling Islamic Hamas movement, said Israel was “playing with fire” in the airstrike. He did not elaborate. The airstrike marked a rare flare-up along the Gaza border, which has remained largely calm since a devastating 50-day summer war in 2014. January 13, 2016
Headline: IDF readying itself for threat from ISIS in the Sinai
A tense kind of quiet has characterized the Israel-Egypt border for the past year. The desert area has seen the threat of the Islamic State group grow in that time, leading the IDF to realize that it could end up affecting Israel directly – specifically its southern towns. The IDF has taken this danger to heart, and has been preparing. The IDF Southern Command has changed its war plans three times, updating them to fit the expected threat. For instance, troops are focusing more on fighting in urban areas and protecting southern Israeli agricultural farms, which may be vulnerable to infiltration by ISIS elements. The number of IDF troops along the border has been greatly reinforced as well: Tanks and artillery batteries have been spread throughout the area, and joint army-air force drills are being conducted. One of the main visible changes is the vehicles infantry forces are using: The Jeeps and humvees have been reinforced, and equipped with rooftop machine guns. January 13, 2016
Headline: Israel Bars Doors to Swedish Foreign Minister Following More Incendiary Anti-Israel Remarks
Following an accusation by Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallström alleging that Israel carries out “extrajudicial executions” of Palestinian terrorists, her Israeli counterpart Tzipi Hotovely said that Israel is “closing its doors to official visits from Sweden.” In remarks made to a cadets’ course for future Israeli diplomats, Deputy Foreign Minister Hotovely said that Wallström is “de facto supporting” terrorism with her recent incendiary remarks. On Tuesday, Wallström called for an investigation into alleged extrajudicial killings of Palestinian attackers, referring to those Palestinians who are killed while attempting to carry out terror attacks against Israelis and Jews. Wallström told lawmakers, “It is vital that there are thorough, credible investigations into these deaths in order to clarify and bring about possible accountability.” Hotovely called the remark “a terrible combination of foolishness and diplomatic stupidity.” Israel’s Foreign Ministry responded the same day with a statement strongly condemning Wallström’s comments, calling them “delusional.” “In her irresponsible and delusional statements, the Swedish foreign minister provides tailwind to terror, and thus encourages violence,” the Foreign Ministry said.

Headline: ISIS affiliate in Sinai threatens to stop Jordan’s natural gas supply
Headline: Obama, Jordan’s King Abdullah hold meeting at Andrews AFB
In the new volume of its weekly newspaper, Al-Nabah, released on Tuesday, ISIS directly threatened Jordan’s king Abdullah II, saying that: “Jordan’s apostate ruler will have natural gas only with the permission of Amir al-Mu’minin [ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi].” On January 8, the ISIS branch in Egypt, Sinai Province, attacked the El-Arish pipeline to Jordan, blowing up the pipeline which carries gas from Egypt to the Hashemite Kingdom. Since the Egyptian uprising of 2011, that vital pipeline has witnessed more than 30 attacks by terror organizations. Following the attack, Sinai Province’s media institute released a statement on Twitter, claiming: “In a blessed operation, Islamic State soldiers attacked the pipeline that supplies natural gas to the apostate Jordanian government from the city of El-Arish. The statement was ended with a promise that “not a single cubic foot of gas will reach the insignificant state of Jordan without the permission of Amir al-Mu’minin,”adding that: “The jihadists will continue attacking the interests of the apostate rulers in the Middle East and their economic facilities, which they ironically use to fight Islam and the Muslims.” January 13, 2016

Syria Headline: Syrian troops seize territory from rebels in northwest
Backed by relentless Russian airstrikes, Syrian troops and allied militiamen on Wednesday pushed deeper into a major rebel stronghold in the northwestern province of Latakia, a day after seizing a key rebel-held town in the strategic region overlooking the coast, the government and opposition activists said. The insurgents in the opposition-held area near the Turkish border were collapsing after the town of Salma fell to government loyalists late Tuesday. Salma’s fall marked one of the most significant military victories by the Syrian military since Russia began airstrikes in the country last September to shore up President Bashar Assad’s forces. On Wednesday, government troops seized the villages of Mrouniyah and Marj Kawkah near Salma as they continued their advances in the region, aided by immense Russian firepower. “Whoever controls Salma gains control all those surrounding areas which it overlooks,” said Zakariya Ahmad, an opposition activist in the nearby Idlib province. He said the town fell after 93 days of fighting and daily barrel bombs and airstrikes. He said activists in the region had reported 92 airstrikes believed to be Russian on Salma in the last 24 hours before it was fully seized by government troops. “It was hell on earth,” he said. Syria Headline: Turkish artillery backs Syria rebel push on ISIS
Syrian rebels operating north of Aleppo backed by the reported help of Turkish artillery fire have gained ground against ISIS along a stretch of territory that Ankara aims to turn into a “safe zone.” Since the weekend, rebel factions in the Marea Operations Room regained four villages near the Turkish border that were seized by ISIS in a December offensive. In their latest victory on Wednesday morning, Free Syrian Army-affiliated groups and Islamist battalions swept into the village of Baghdin following fierce overnight fighting, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The Sham Legion announced Wednesday that it had wrested the village of Baghdin on the Syrian-Turkish border from ISIS, in the most recent in a slow series of advances against the group that have reportedly been achieved with Turkish support. “The Sham Legion announces the total liberation of the village of Baghdin in northern Aleppo countryside from ISIS’s Kharijite gangs,” the moderate Islamist coalition said in a post on its Twitter feed, using an insulting Islamic term to refer to its adversary. Over the past four days, insurgent groups in the Marea Operations Room have seized the nearby areas of Qarah Kubri, Qarah Mazraa and Al-Khirbeh, all of which lie to the east of Baghdin. As the rebels fought against transnational group in the pitched battles in the northern Aleppo border region, reports began to emerge that Turkey was pummeling ISIS with artillery fire. The ISIS-affiliated A3maq news agency reported Saturday that Turkish forces where shelling the village of Qarah Kubri with heavy artillery, with the outlet reporting further shelling the following day when opposition forces began their offensive inside the town. Later that Sunday, Islamist battalions marched into Qarah Kubri, while also capturing nearby Al-Khirbeh from ISIS. A pro-Syrian rebel outlet also reported Turkish artillery support for the rebels in the Marea Operations Room over the weekend. January 13, 2016
An ISIS storage facility housing “millions of dollars” in cash was bombed by US-led coalition forces in the Iraqi city of Mosul, AFP reported Monday. “We estimate in the millions of dollars… from all their illicit stuff: oil, looting, extortion,” a US defense official told AFP on the condition of anonymity. Multiple 2,000 pound bombs hit the storage facility, killing between five and seven civilians in the operation, CNN first reported earlier in the day. The US and its coalition of Western and Arab allies have been increasing their targeting of the terrorist organization’s money making capabilities, including bombing trucks ferrying oil across Syria and Iraq. here’s the most interesting part of the story, which is at the end: The U.S. considers the Mosul strike extremely sensitive, as the building is in an area where civilians are also located, and there was a significant risk of civilian casualties. . . . U.S. commanders had been willing to consider up to 50 civilian casualties from the airstrike due to the importance of the target. But the initial post-attack assessment indicated that perhaps five to seven people were killed. In recent weeks, the U.S. has said it will assess all targets on a case-by-case basis and may be more willing to tolerate civilians casualties for more significant targets. January 12, 2016
Iraq Headline: Sunni mosques in east Iraq attacked
At least seven Sunni mosques and dozens of shops in eastern Iraq were firebombed on Tuesday. Ten people were also shot and killed in Muqdadiya, 80km northeast of Baghdad, security and hospital sources said. Witnesses said some of those killed on Tuesday had been shot inside their homes or dragged into the street and executed by gunmen wearing black and camouflage uniforms. Police sources and local residents said the gunmen were patrolling Muqdadiya and warning families through loudspeakers to leave the city or face death. Reuters could not verify these accounts. Two Iraqi journalists were also killed on Tuesday outside Baqouba, Diyala’s provincial capital 65km northeast of Baghdad, according to police, a security official and their network Sharqiya TV. They said the men had been turned back from a checkpoint near Muqdadiya run by a Shiite militia. On their way back to Baqouba, gunmen sprayed their vehicle with automatic gunfire. Earlier in the day, a suicide bomber attacked a police convoy near Baqouba, critically wounding a senior police officer and killing three other members of the security forces, police said. Headline: Blast in central Istanbul tourist area leaves several killed
Headline: Istanbul suicide bomber registered at refugee agency a week before attack
Terrorism struck in the heart of Istanbul on Tuesday when a suicide bomber, allegedly affiliated with Islamic State, targeted a square with views of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia in the early morning. Ten were killed and at least 15 were wounded in the attack. All 10 victims were foreigners, according to Ankara, which noted the square is popular with tourists. One victim was a Peruvian and, later in the day, Berlin confirmed that nine of the dead were German nationals. Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said the assailant is believed to have crossed into the country in past weeks from its border with Syria; however, he was not on Turkey’s watch list of suspected terrorists. Tuesday’s attack is the second terrorist strike against Turkey in recent months, after a bombing in Ankara on October 10 killed 102 and wounded hundreds. Russia, which has sanctioned Turkey ever since Ankara shot down a Russian jet in Syrian airspace in November, condemned the attack and said the carnage should remind the world of the need to unite against terrorism. Moscow says it is intervening in the Syrian war on behalf of its nominal president, Bashar Assad, in order to fight terrorist organizations – Islamic State chief among them. And the attacker, who had not yet been identified by the time of this publication, was said by Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to have been a member of Islamic State. “Until we wipe out Daesh, Turkey will continue its fight at home and with coalition forces,” he said in comments broadcasted live on television, using the Arabic acronym for Islamic State. Headline: Iranian footage shows US sailor apology, arrest in Gulf incident
Within hours of releasing 10 U.S. sailors who apparently had drifted into their territorial waters, the Iranian government was using footage from the incident as a propaganda tool – including images of sailors on their knees with their hands behind their heads and a video showing a sailor apologizing. “It was a mistake. That was our fault. And we apologize for our mistake,” the sailor said, in a brief state TV clip posted on Twitter by a journalist with Iran’s Tasnim News Agency. Secretary of State John Kerry and others have cited the peaceful resolution as a “testament” to diplomacy and the new U.S.-Iran relationship, as they welcome Iran into the “community of nations.” But the various images and clips of the sailors since circulated by Iranian media could prove embarrassing. Images purported to show the sailors with their hands over their heads when they were arrested, and Iranian officials boarding their ships. In the video clip of the apology, a sailor identified as the “commander” is being interviewed about his team’s actions. He apologizes, and also seems to acknowledge they drifted into Iranian territorial waters. In response, State Department spokesman Mark Toner said Wednesday that the department would assess whether the video is authentic. He noted images of prisoners are not supposed to be shown under the terms of the Geneva Convention. January 13, 2016
Headline: Nuclear deal to be implemented by Sunday, Iran says
The final implementation of Iran’s nuclear deal with world powers is expected by Sunday, Iranian state media said Wednesday, quoting Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi. A report by the International Atomic Energy Agency, concluding that Iran had fulfilled its obligations under the agreement, will come out on Friday, broadcaster IRIB quoted Araqchi as saying, paving the way for sanctions to end. The IAEA findings would be followed by “reaching the end of the line and the announcement of the implementation during Friday, Saturday and Sunday,” the official IRNA news agency quoted Araqchi as saying. There was no immediate confirmation from the IAEA of Araqchi’s comments about the timing of “Implementation Day” when the deal comes into effect, but US and European officials have recently said it could be just days away. Headline: IS Claims Attack on Pakistan Consulate in Afghanistan
Officials in eastern Afghanistan said a gun and bomb attack Wednesday near the Pakistani consulate in Jalalabad killed seven security personnel and wounded 10 people, including three civilians. Islamic State militants claimed responsibility for the assault. Afghan police and witnesses said the attack began with several massive explosions near the consulate, which is located near India’s consulate, a hospital and several schools. The provincial police chief, General Fazal Mohammad Sherzad told reporters that three attackers were targeting the Pakistani consulate and planned to enter the facility from an adjacent guest house. But he said security forces surrounded the house and killed them in a two-hour gunfight. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry condemned the attack and said only one consulate official was slightly injured by broken glass. A ministry statement said Pakistan has asked the Afghan government to “thoroughly investigate this incident” and to ensure the safety of Pakistani diplomatic missions and officials in Afghanistan. ***SEE ALSO NATION AGAINST NATION BELOW January 13, 2016
Headline: Libya repels ISIS assault on oil terminal
Libyan guards said Monday they repelled a maritime assault by ISIS on Zueitina oil terminal in the north of the country. ISIS tried last week to seize export terminals in the so-called “oil crescent” of northern Libya, killing 56 people in two suicide bombings in Zliten and Ras Lanouf, east of Tripoli. “On Sunday night, the guards intercepted three boats trying to enter the oil port of Zueitina,” Ali al-Hassi, spokesman for the guards protecting oil facilities for Libya’s recognised government. “They opened fire and hit one of the boats. The other two made off but returned a short while later to tow the vessel which had been hit,” he said. “We can say it was ISIS because we’d received information that ISIS would try to enter Zueitina by sea,” the spokesman told AFP. ISIS has been trying for several weeks to push east from its coastal stronghold of Sirte, threatening to seize control of Libya’s oil wealth. January 12, 2016

Seven people died when a deliberately lit fire tore through a tourism complex at a beach resort on the outskirts of the Algerian capital Wednesday, the civil defense service said. The blaze erupted around 2:30 am (0130 GMT) at a bungalow in the Azur complex in Zeralda, about 20 kilometers (12 miles) west of Algiers, official news agency APS quoted the civil defense service as saying. A police official later told state television that the fire was of criminal origin, and that three suspects were identified and being sought. All of the seven people killed were Algerians, who were between 25 and 35 years old and included two women. They all died of asphyxiation. January 13, 2016

Headline: Bomb near Pakistan polio centre ‘kills 15’
At least 15 people have been killed in a suspected suicide bombing outside a polio vaccination centre in the south-western Pakistani city of Quetta. Many of the casualties are thought to have been police guarding the clinic. Armed guards are routine for polio workers in Pakistan, who have been the target of many deadly attacks by Islamist militants in recent years. Militants oppose polio vaccination, saying it is a Western conspiracy to sterilise Pakistani children. Pakistan and Afghanistan are the only two countries where the disease is still endemic. The explosion took place in the morning as polio workers and security staff were reporting for duty before heading out on their vaccination rounds, said Sarfaraz Bugti, a minister in Balochistan province of which Quetta is the capital. Quetta’s deputy commissioner, Dawood Khilji, said the death toll had risen to 15, with 14 police officers and one passer-by confirmed dead. About 20 people were injured. January 13, 2016

Headline: Report: S. Korea fires warning shots at North’s drone
South Korea fired warning shots after a North Korean drone briefly entered its territory Wednesday, according to South Korean media. The drone, which was seen flying above a South Korean military observatory post at the border between the two countries, “immediately” returned to North Korea, the South’s Yonhap news agency reported, citing officials. The United Nations Security Council pledged to pursue new sanctions against the North after it claimed that it successfully tested a hydrogen bomb on Jan. 6. On Wednesday, South Korea’s President Park Geun-hye’s urged China, North Korea’s main ally, to “play a necessary role” in the sanctions. The Chinese government has said it strongly opposes the reported test. Park’s televised comments came after Seoul said North Korea sent leaflets across the border describing Park and her government as “mad dogs,” the Associated Press reported. On Tuesday, North Korea said it is ready to detonate hydrogen bombs capable of wiping out the United States “all at once,” Yonhap reported. January 13, 2016

Headline: Trans-Pacific Partnership: Serious Rights Concerns
The proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) economic and trade agreement raises numerous human rights concerns despite unprecedented efforts to address labor issues, Human Rights Watch said today in a new Q & A. The TPP’s rights problems should be addressed before the agreement enters into force, Human Rights Watch said. “As the TPP moves toward ratification, policymakers should reflect carefully on how the agreement will affect over 800 million people living in Pacific Rim countries,” said Sarah Margon, Washington Director at Human Rights Watch. “The TPP is a far-reaching agreement whose human rights harms should be addressed now before they are replicated in future trade and economic agreements worldwide.” The agreement should have gone further to protect labor rights, and there are serious concerns with provisions related to the right to health, free expression and privacy online. The agreement’s labor chapter and associated bilateral agreements do not have adequate labor rights safeguards for countries with poor labor rights records, like Vietnam, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, and Brunei. Another concern raised in the Q & A is that the TPP’s provisions affecting the pharmaceutical industry, which extend monopolistic patent and regulatory protections, will make it more difficult for people to affordably obtain life-saving medicines. In addition, the TPP’s copyright provisions could make it easier for governments to abuse intellectual property rules to stifle online dissent. January 12, 2016

As of 2:30 p.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 315 points, or 1.91% to 16200. The S&P 500 declined 42 points, or 2.21% to 1894, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 146 points, or 3.12% to 4541. Utilities was the only sector in positive territory, seeing gains of 0.61%. The tech-heavy Nasdaq, which narrowly averted a nine-session losing streak on Tuesday, quickly reverted back to negative territory on Wednesday when it dropped more than 2%, notching a fresh three-month low. Consumer discretionary names were the biggest losers on the session as companies like Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) dropped on no particular news. The e-commerce giant shed nearly 12% year to date after booking gains of 118% last year. The stock was the Nasdaq’s biggest decliner. Only three of the 30 Dow components were in positive territory – they included Procter and Gamble (PG), Coca-Cola (KO) and ExxonMobil (XOM), despite fresh selling pressure in the energy sector. Headline: Suit filed in Akron federal court to remove ‘In God We Trust’ from currency
A California lawyer has filed a suit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio to stop the government from printing money with the phrase “In God We Trust.” The lawsuit, filed on Monday in Akron, names defendants like U.S. Congress, Secretary of the Treasury Jacob J. Lew and Director of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing Leonard R. Olijar. The attorney filing the suit is Michael Newdow, who has long been fighting to have the words “Under God” removed from the Pledge of Allegiance. Newdow, an atheist, also filed a lawsuit in 2009 to prevent references to God from being used in President Barack Obama’s inauguration. Newdow and Westlake attorney Thomas M. Horwitz write in court documents that currency minted or printed with the words “In God We Trust” violations the First Amendment, the Fifth Amendment and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. “Plaintiffs either specifically do not trust in any ‘G-d’ (with NOT trusting G-d being a basic tenet of their belief systems) or hold G-d’s name so dear and exalted that to inscribe it on a monetary instrument is deemed sinful,” court documents said. Plaintiffs include two Summit County children and their father, who is an atheist. According to court documents, the discussion of “In G-d We Trust” in schools opens the kids up to ridicule. Headline: Hurricane Pali sets record for being earliest; closest to equator
Chalk up another wacky weather element to this winter’s near-record El Nino churning in the Pacific Ocean. Hurricane Pali just set a record for the earliest hurricane on record in the Central Pacific Ocean, getting the classification on Jan. 11 at 10 p.m. EST as wind speeds hit an estimated 90 mph. It’s over 1,300 miles away from Hawaii and poses no threat to land. According to the Weather Channel, it beats the record more than two weeks, besting Hurricane Ekeka, which reached hurricane status on Jan. 30, 1992 (also during a strong El Nino winter.) Hurricane season doesn’t even officially begin until June 1 in the Pacific, but this storm is managing to hold together due to extremely warm ocean temperatures approaching the mid 80s. But that’s not the only record set by Pali. It’s also the record for southern-most hurricane to live in the Northern/Western Hemisphere (i.e. closest to approach the equator): Why is hitting the equator so difficult for a hurricane? There’s little-to-zero Coriolis Force around the equator which is needed to help the storm spin and maintain strength. No tropical storm or hurricane has ever crossed the equator, but some forecast tracks have Pali getting as close as 2-4 degrees north latitude. January 12, 2016

Unlike most authors I never charge anyone to read my book. Jesus warned that the generation who saw all these things (prophecies) take place at the same time, that would be the generation chosen to see His 2nd coming. Jesus in Matthew 24:33-34 said the following: "Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened." Belive me, you will want to be ready to meet Jesus when He calls His church home! I welcome any comments. Thank you. Frank DiMora
