Look at what Paul warned us in the scriptures below. Guess what? What he warned has come to pass via the book of Mormon. What is the book of Mormon, it is another gospel other than the bible and, guess what? The book was given to Joseph Smith by an angel.  Paul was right on target in his warning. The bible is continuing to prove itself to be true as seen in many of the battle discovers mentioned in the bible.  The book of Moran talks about all these massive battles yet not one trace of any of these wars has been found.  This book was given to the world to send people on the wrong road. 1. There is no specific confirmation of the Book of Mormon from archaeology.

A. What Mormon archaeologists say

Brigham Young University (BYU) is owned by the Mormon Church and has a department of professional archaeologists who are dedicated to archaeology as it pertains to the Book of Mormon. These professionals, who are practicing Mormons, are to be applauded for their honesty. What many of them have to say will be a shock to the lay Mormon who is unaware that archaeology and the Book of Mormon are at odds with one another. The lay Mormon is told by the Mormon Church that archaeology continues to confirm the Book of Mormon, while Mormon scholars who actually study archaeology for a living have something quite different to say.

[It appears that the Book of Mormon] had no place in the New World whatsoever ... [It] just doesn’t seem to fit anything ... in anthropology [or] history.... It seems misplaced.[20]

The first myth that we need to eliminate is that Book of Mormon archaeology exists. Titles on books full of archaeological half-truths, dilettante on the peripheries of American archaeology calling themselves Book of Mormon archaeologists regardless of their education, and a Department of Archaeology at BYU devoted to the production of Book of Mormon archaeologists do not insure that Book of Mormon archaeology really exists.[21]

What I would say to you is there is no archaeological proof of the Book of Mormon. You can look all you want. And there’s been a lot of speculation about it. There’ve been books written by Mormon scholars saying that “this event took place here” or “this event took place here.” But that’s entirely speculative. There is absolutely no archaeological evidence that you can tie directly to events that took place.[22]

Now, I’m an archaeologist, and I work in Mexico where some people think that the events occurred. So a lot of Mormons ask me every week if I find any evidence. And I tell them, “No.” ... (T)he question of how to translate what the Book says in terms of real evidence that we can grab in our hands, archaeologically, is still a huge problem.[23]

Keep in mind that all of these are practicing Mormons who are professional Book of Mormon archaeologists!

B. What non-Mormon archaeologists say

Earlier we read from the Smithsonian Institution’s statement “The Bible as History.” We saw that archaeology confirms much of the Bible and that professional archaeologists use the Bible in their work. The Smithsonian also has a “STATEMENT REGARDING THE BOOK OF MORMON.” This statement can be requested at the same address. Every one of the statements are damaging to the reliability of the Book of Mormon. Here is the first of eight statements:

In my book The Last Chronicles of Planet Earth I show the reader how the Lord's warning concerning a woman riding on a beast has come to pass. However, the total impact of the meaning of this woman on the beast won't be fully realized until the tribulation period starts.  

In Revelation 17:1-4 Jesus showed John a vision of a woman riding a scarlet beast over many waters. Who is the woman
riding the beast in the prophecy? In the end times the Antichrist (the beast), will be joined by a false church (which is
symbolic of the woman riding the beast). The beast, seen riding over water, is symbolic of the peoples of the world. This
is what John was told to write. “…and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having
seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious
stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication” (Revelation
17:3b-4). The woman riding the beast is wearing a purple dress and has a cup in one hand. God promised He would show
us the future before it happened. Read what He said, “See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare;
before they spring into being I announce them to you” (Isaiah 42:9).

Can we see this woman riding the beast anywhere today? The answer is yes. First I will show you the very image of the
women riding the beast is already embedded in the European Union, and then I will prove to you in these last days the false
church is coming together

In Revelation 17:4 Jesus said the woman was “arrayed in purple.” Jesus Christ is showing His words have come true. All
these facts show us the Antichrist will be soon revealed. What we are witnessing in Bible prophecy today shouldn’t
surprise anyone. God told us He was going to reveal all these events before they ever took place. In Isaiah 46:10 God said,
"Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall
stand, and I will do all my pleasure.” The Bible is the only book on planet Earth that foretold what would take place in the
future and was 100% accurate. Make no mistake about the signs you read about in this book. Every sign you read about
was already given to us by the Lord as a warning to keep us ready for His return. “So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication”
(Revelation 17:3-4).
