What Will Happen to America in the Last Days?
Many people are asking what role—if any—America will play during the last days. While the Bible does not specifically name the United States, it does give us insight into the global landscape during the end times. One of the clearest revelations is that a One World Government will emerge, led by the Antichrist. Both the Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation describe this man of sin rising to power and forcing the world to submit to his rule by taking his identification mark—what Scripture refers to as the number 666.
Given that America is currently the world’s leading superpower but showing signs of declining something significant must happen to remove her from that position in order for this new global leader to take control.
As of June 5, 2025, the total U.S. national debt stands at approximately $36.2 trillion, according to the U.S. Treasury's Fiscal Data. This figure encompasses both debt held by the public and intragovernmental holdings, and continues to grow. More than likely this massive debt will trigger a collapse of the U.S. economy, leading to a global financial meltdown that paves the way for the Antichrist’s rise? Or will it be a devastating war that weakens America, leaving the door open for a new world leader?
Whatever the cause, Scripture points to a dramatic shift in global power. The only possible reference to the United States in prophecy may be found in Ezekiel 38, where the "young lions" protest the Gog-Magog invasion of Israel. However, there is no indication that these young lions take any meaningful action to help Israel. This silence could suggest that America has lost its influence and ability to act on the world stage.
In any case, the fall of America's global dominance appears to be a necessary step in the fulfillment of end-time prophecy. The rise of the Antichrist and the formation of the One World Government will not happen until the current superpowers are removed or subdued—and America’s fall may be the key event that accelerates that process.

I don't care what party you belong to fact is public confidence in American institutions has significantly declined. Gallup's 2024 analysis reveals that approximately 68% of Americans lack confidence in their national government, and trust in the judiciary stands at a low 42%. Even the U.S. military, traditionally a highly trusted institution, experienced a drop in public confidence from 90% in 2021 to 81% in 2024. news.gallup.com+2voanews.com+2pewtrusts.org+2
This erosion of trust is further compounded by the phenomenon of "Truth Decay," as identified by the RAND Corporation. This term describes the diminishing reliance on factual information in public discourse, leading to political paralysis and a collapse of civil discourse. rand.org+1rand.org+1
If America doesn't cut the debt America will fall to a second rate power if she is lucky. It appears the road both the Dems and Republicans keep us on is the road leading to the fall of the U.S.

America has long stood as a beacon of freedom, innovation, and global leadership. But over the past few decades, many believe the nation is in a state of moral, political, social, and spiritual decline. This report explores the major signs of America's deterioration and how this trend aligns with biblical prophecy, particularly in relation to the last days.
1. Moral and Spiritual Decay
America was founded on Judeo-Christian values, but these foundational principles are being increasingly abandoned:

Rejection of Biblical Morality: Traditional values on marriage, gender, and family are being redefined. Laws that once upheld biblical standards are now viewed as discriminatory or outdated.

Rise in Atheism and Secularism: A growing number of Americans, particularly among younger generations, no longer identify with any religion.

Entertainment and Media: Popular culture promotes violence, sexual immorality, profanity, and anti-Christian messages. Quantifying the exact number of movies and commercials featuring gay and lesbian couples is challenging due to the vast and ever-evolving nature of media. However, available data and studies provide insight into the representation of LGBTQ+ individuals in film and advertising.

Over the years, LGBTQ+ representation in cinema has grown, with numerous films centering on gay and lesbian relationships. Notable examples include Brokeback Mountain, Moonlight, Call Me by Your Name, and Portrait of a Lady on Fire. In 2023 alone, several acclaimed films featured LGBTQ+ narratives, such as Bottoms, May December, and Fellow Travelers . The list of gay and lesbians and the homosexual lifestyle is ever expanding in TV ads, movies, magazines, commercials, even in schools.

The inclusion of gay and lesbian couples in advertising has seen a gradual increase over the past few decades:

3. Economic Instability

Inflation and Cost of Living: Many Americans struggle to afford housing, healthcare, and basic necessities.

Lawlessness: Respect for law enforcement and the rule of law is eroding. Cities have seen riots, looting, and soft-on-crime policies.

5. Attack on the Family Unit

Redefinition of Family: Traditional family roles are being undermined. Gender confusion and the dismantling of parental rights are rising trends.

Broken Homes: Divorce, fatherlessness, and single-parent households are prevalent, especially in urban areas.

Sexualization of Children: School curriculums and media expose children to inappropriate content at younger ages.
6. Spiritual Apostasy in the Church

Compromising the Gospel: Many churches have abandoned biblical truth in favor of cultural acceptance.

Prosperity Preaching: Some leaders preach a self-serving gospel, ignoring repentance and holiness.

Falling Away: Attendance and biblical literacy are declining among Christians in America.

What did Jesus mean when He gave this warning in 2 Thessalonians 2:11?
"And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie."
This verse is set in the context of those who refuse to believe the truth of the Gospel and instead choose to embrace falsehoods and deception. It reveals that God allows—or permits—a powerful delusion to overtake those who reject the truth, leading them even deeper into lies. This is understood as a form of divine judgment, a consequence for their willful rejection of God’s truth.
Could it be possible that when the Church of Christ is raptured and taken to heaven, the “strong delusion” will be the lie that those missing were taken by aliens—and that those left behind are actually the “good” people? When, in reality, the opposite is true?
